Hadith 29:47
Humaid narrated to us, from Hassan, from Mutarrif, from some of his companions, who said: Talha ibn Ubayd Allah bought land from al-Nashastaj—the Nashastaj of Banu Talha, which is the one near al-Silahayn—so he came to Umar and mentioned that to him. He said, "I have bought land that pleased me." Umar said to him, "From whom did you buy it? From the people of Kufa?" He said, "I bought it from the people of al-Qadisiyyah." Talha said, "And how did you buy it from all the people of al-Qadisiyyah?" He said, "You have done nothing; it is merely fay’ (spoils of war)."
حدثنا حميد عن حسن عن مطرف عن بعض أصحابه قال اشترى طلحة بن عبيد الله أرضا من النشاستج نشاستج بني طلحة هذا الذي عند السيلحين فأتى عمر فذكر ذلك له فقال إني اشتريت أرضا معجبة فقال له عمر ممن اشتريتها أمن أهل الكوفة قال اشتريتها من أهل القادسية قال طلحة وكيف اشتريتها من أهل القادسية كلهم قال إنك لم تصنع شيئا إنما هي فيء
