Hadith 29:62
Abu Usama narrated to us, he said: As-Salt ibn Bahram informed us, Jami’ ibn Umayr at-Taymi narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Umar, who said: I witnessed Jalula, and I purchased from the spoils for forty thousand. I arrived with it to Umar, and he said: "What is this?" I said: "I purchased from the spoils for forty thousand." He said: "O Safiyya, keep what Abdullah ibn Umar has brought. I adjure you not to take anything out of it." She said: "O Commander of the Faithful, even if it is not lawful?" He said: "That is for you." He said: Then he said to Abdullah ibn Umar: "Do you see, if I were taken to the Fire, would you ransom me?" I said: "Yes, even with everything I am capable of." He said: "It is as if I am witnessing you on the day of Jalula while you are trading, and they are saying: 'This is Abdullah ibn Umar, the companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), the son of the Commander of the Faithful, and the most honorable of his family to him,' and you are as such." He said: "If they make it cheap for you by a hundred, it is more beloved to them than if they make it expensive for you by a dirham. I am the divider, and I will give you from the profit the best that a man from Quraysh profits; I will give you for every dirham, a dirham." He said: So he left it with me for seven days, then he called the merchants and sold it for four hundred thousand. He gave me eighty thousand, and he sent three hundred and twenty thousand to Sa’d and said: "Distribute this wealth among those who witnessed the battle. If anyone among them has died, then send his share to his heirs."
حدثنا أبو أسامة قال أخبرنا الصلت بن بهرام حدثنا جميع بن عمير التيمي عن عبد الله بن عمر قال شهدت جلولاء فابتعت من الغنائم بأربعين ألفا فقدمت بها على عمر فقال ما هذا قلت ابتعت من الغنائم بأربعين ألفا فقال يا صفية احفظي بما قدم به عبد الله بن عمر عزمت عليك أن [ لا ] تخرجي منه شيئا قالت يا أمير المؤمنين وإن كانت غير طيب قال ذاك لك قال فقال لعبد الله بن عمر أرأيت لو انطلق بي إلى النار أكنت مفتدي قلت نعم ولو بكل شيء أقدر عليه قال فإني كأنني شاهدك يوم جلولاء وأنت تبايع ويقولون هذا عبد الله بن عمر صاحب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وبن أمير المؤمنين وأكرم أهله عليه وأنت كذلك قال فإن يرخصوا عليك بمائة أحب إليهم من أن يغلوا عليكم بدرهم وإني قاسم وسأعطيك من الربح افضل ما يربح رجل من قريش أعطيك ربح الدرهم درهما قال فخلى علي سبعة أيام ثم دعا التجار فباعه بأربعمائة ألف فأعطاني ثمانين ألفا وبعث بثلاثمائة ألف وعشرين ألفا إلى سعد فقال اقسم هذا المال بين الذين شهدوا الوقعة فإن كان مات فيهم أحد فابعث بنصيبه إلى ورثته
