Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 19:102

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from Ibn Sirin, who said: If he steals from various people and [the judge] cuts [the hand] of one of them, he shall not be cut [again] after that, unless he commits a new theft.
