Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Marwan bin Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Suwayd bin Najih, from Dhibyan bin 'Amarah, who said: A man and a woman were brought to Ali. A man said: "We found them in one blanket, and with them were wine and basil." Ali said: "Two foul sights." He lashed them, and he did not mention a prescribed punishment (hadd).
