Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abbad bin al-Awwam narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Husayn, from al-Sha’bi, from al-Harith, from Ali, he said: The prescribed punishment for [drinking] nabidh (fermented date drink) is eighty [lashes].
