Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 19:341

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Mis’ar, from Zayd al-‘Ammi, from Abu al-Siddiq al-Naji, from Abu Sa’id, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that he used to strike forty [lashes] for wine.
