Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ubayd narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik, from Ata, regarding the Jewish woman: "The Muslim does not perform *li'an* (oath of imprecation) with her." He said: "Nor does the slave with the free woman, but the slave is to be flogged."
