Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 19:446

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-A’la narrated to us, from Ma’mar, from al-Zuhri, regarding the one who has intercourse with an animal. He said: "Upon him is the lesser of the two punishments, whether he is married (muhsan) or unmarried."
