Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Isra’il, from Simak, from Ma’bad and ‘Ubayd, the two sons of Humran, from Ibn Mas’ud, that he struck him [with a punishment] less than the prescribed legal limit (hadd).
