Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Hisham al-Dastawa’i, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Ibn Zahir, from Husayn ibn Jarir, he said: I heard Umar saying: "There is no cutting [as a prescribed punishment for theft] for a fruit cluster [stolen from a tree], nor in a year of famine."
