Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 19:607

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ad-Dahhak ibn Makhlad narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Ata’, who said: The punishment for false accusation (qadhf) and the punishment for wine (drinking) is that you are to be flogged, and you are not to raise your hand (i.e., you are not to strike excessively or with malice).
