Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 19:69

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, who said: I entered upon Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, and he asked me about the runaway slave who steals: "Is he to have his hand cut off?" I said: "Nothing has reached me regarding this." When I arrived in Medina, I met Salim ibn Abd Allah, and he informed me that Abd Allah ibn Umar had cut off the hand of a slave of his who was a thief and a runaway.
