Hadith 19:701

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Mu'awiyah ibn Hisham narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Dawud, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: Ma'iz ibn Malik came and confessed to adultery three times. So [the Prophet] asked about him, then ordered him to be stoned. So we pelted him with pottery shards, stones, and mud. We did not dig for him, nor did we bind him. He outran us toward the Harrah (stony ground), so we followed him. He stood up toward us, and we pelted him until he became silent. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, neither sought forgiveness for him nor did he revile him.
