Hadith 19:736
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Simak, from al-Hasan, he said: A woman from Bariq came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "I have committed adultery, so establish the punishment of Allah upon me." The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, turned her away until she had testified against herself multiple times. Then the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to her: "Go back." When she delivered her pregnancy, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, commanded her, so she purified herself and put on her shrouds. Then he commanded that she be stoned. Some of her blood struck Khalid ibn al-Walid, so he cursed her. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade him and said: "She has repented with a repentance such that if the collector of unlawful taxes had repented it, it would have been accepted from him."
