Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad bin Bakr narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, he said: Abu Bakr bin Abdullah informed me that Khalid bin Sa'id narrated to him, from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib and Ubaydullah bin Abdullah bin Utbah, that they were both asked about a thief who steals and throws his stolen goods outside of the house, and he is caught in the house from which the goods were stolen: Is the [punishment of] amputation upon him? They both said: The [punishment of] amputation is upon him.
