Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad bin Bakr narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, he said: 'Ata' said: If a stolen item is found with a man of evil character who is suspected, and he says, "I bought it," but he does not provide proof of whom he bought it from, or he says, "I found it," he shall not have his hand cut off, and he shall not be punished.
