Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from ‘Abd al-Karim, from the one who heard Ibn ‘Umar say: The apostate is to be asked to repent three times. If he repents, he is left alone; and if he refuses, he is killed.
