Hadith 12:112
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Jarir ibn Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, from Musa ibn Abi Aisha, from Abu Razin, he said: A man came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, with a rabbit and said: "I shot a rabbit, but pursuing it exhausted me until night overtook me, and I could not reach it until morning, when I found it with my arrow in it." He said: "Did you kill it by piercing (its vital organs) or did you kill it by striking (it with the arrow's side)?" He said: "No, rather I killed it by striking." He said: "Indeed, the night is a creation from among the great creations of God; none can measure its creation except the One who created it. Perhaps something else assisted in killing it. Cast it away from you."
