Hadith 12:115
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs bin Ghiyath narrated to us, from al-Ajlah, from Abdullah bin Abi al-Hudhayl, he said: I heard Ibn Abbas, and a black slave asked him, saying to him: "O Abu Abbas, I shoot at game; I strike it and it dies on the spot (asmi), and I strike it and it runs away (anmi)." He said: "What you strike and it dies on the spot, eat it; and what you strike and it runs away, do not eat it."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا حفص بن غياث عن الأجلح عن عبد الله بن أبي الهذيل قال [ سمعت ] بن عباس وسأله عبد أسود فقال له يا أبا عباس إني أرمي الصيد فأصمي وأنمي فقال ما أصميت فكل وما أنميت فلا تأكل
