Hadith 12:142
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hushaym ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Husayn ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Masruq: He was asked about the hunting of the *manajil* (sickles/traps). He said: "They cut from the gazelles and the wild donkeys, and a part becomes severed from it while it is alive." Ibn Umar said: "Whatever is severed from it while it is alive, then leave it, and eat whatever is other than that."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا [ هشيم ] بن بشير عن حصين بن [ عبد الرحمن عن مسروق سئل عن صيد المناجل قال إنها تقطع من الظباء والحمر فيبين منه الشيء وهو حي فقال بن عمر ما أبان منه وهو حي فدعه وكل ما سوى ذلك
