Hadith 12:146
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Zakariya, from al-Sha’bi, from ‘Adi ibn Hatim, who said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about hunting with a *mi’rad* (a blunt-tipped projectile). He said: "Whatever you strike with its sharp edge, eat it. And whatever you strike with its side (blunt part), it is *waqidh* (killed by impact)."
