Hadith 12:156
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Husayn, from Amir, he said: I asked him about the *mi'rad* (a blunt hunting projectile). He said: "If you hit [the game] with its sharp edge and it pierces just as an arrow pierces, then eat. But if it hits it with its side, then do not eat, unless you slaughter it (properly)."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن فضيل عن حصين عن عامر قال سألته عن المعراض فقال إذا كان أصبت بحده فخزق كما يخزق السهم فكل فإن أصابه بعرضه فلا تأكل إلا أن تذكيه
