Hadith 12:224
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from ‘Abd al-Karim, from Ziyad ibn Abi Maryam, that a wild donkey became difficult for its owners, so they struck its neck. Ibn Mas‘ud was asked about it, and he said: "That is the swiftest slaughter."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن عيينة عن عبد الكريم عن زياد [ بن ] أبي مريم أن حمارا وحشيا استعصى على أهله فضربوا عنقه فسئل بن مسعود فقال تلك أسرع الذكاة
