Hadith 12:240
'Umar ibn Ayyub narrated to us, from Ja'far ibn Burqan, from al-Zuhri, who said: There is no *dhakah* (slaughter) except with a sharp stone or a blade, and whatever cuts the jugular veins and severs the flesh, then eat it, except for the tooth and the nail.
حدثنا عمر بن أيوب عن جعفر بن برقان عن الزهري قال لا ذكاة إلا بالأسل والطور وما قطع الأوداج وفرى اللحم فكل ما خلا السن والظفر
