Hadith 12:241
Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Awf, from Abu Raja, who said: We went up for Hajj, and a companion of ours caught a rabbit, but he did not find anything with which to slaughter it, so he slaughtered it with his fingernail. They roasted it and ate it, but I refused to eat. He said: Then I met Ibn Abbas and mentioned that to him. He said: "You did well when you did not eat; he killed it by strangulation."
