Hadith 12:258

Jarir narrated to us, from al-Rukayn, from Abu Talhah al-Asadi, who said: I was sitting with Ibn Abbas when a Bedouin came to him and said: "I was with my sheep when a wolf attacked, so it startled a ewe from my flock, and it fell and collapsed on the ground. I took a shard from the edge [of a stone], and I struck one part of it against the other until it became like a knife for me. I slaughtered the sheep with it, shed its blood, and cut the veins." He [Ibn Abbas] said: "Look at what touched the ground of it, then cut it off, for it has died [due to the fall], and eat the rest of it."
