Hadith 12:266
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, [saying]: Hisham al-Dastawa'i informed us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu al-Ma'rur, from Abu al-Farasah: He was with Umar, and he ordered his crier [to announce] that the slaughtering [of camels] is at the *labbah* (the base of the neck), and the *halq* (slaughtering at the throat) is for that which has run away. And let the souls remain until they expire.
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أنا هشام الدستوائي عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن أبي المعرور عن أبي الفراصة كان عند عمر فامر مناديه أن النحر في اللبة والحلق لمن ند وأقروا الأنفس حتى تزهق
