Hadith 12:283
'Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, who said: Whatever I have reached of that [animal] which blinks its eye or moves its tail, and then it is slaughtered, it is lawful. And whatever is slaughtered, and its eye does not blink and its tail does not move, it is unlawful; it is carrion.
حدثنا عبد الرحيم بن سليمان عن جويبر عن الضحاك قال ما أدركت من ذلك يطرف بعينه أو يحرك ذنبه فذبح فهو حلال وما ذبح فلم يطرف له عين ولم يتحرك له ذنب فهو حرام ميتة
