Hadith 12:30
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abbad bin al-Awwam narrated to us, from Jamil bin Zayd, he said: I asked Ibn Umar about hunting with dogs. He said: "Are they collared?" I said: "I set out leading them." He said: "Does their eating [the prey] lead them?" I said: "Some of them I lead, and some of them follow me." He said: "If you see the game and you release your dog and mention the name of Allah, then eat what they hunt with the dog that follows [you]. If it catches it, there is no harm in it, unless you find it alive, then you slaughter it. But if a dog that you did not send out tears it apart, then that is forbidden."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا عباد بن العوام عن جميل بن زيد قال سألت بن عمر عن صيد الكلاب فقال أليست مقلدة قال قلت انطلقت أقودها قال أكلها تقود قال قلت منها ما أقود ومنها ما يتبعني قال إذا رايت الصيد وخلعت كلبك وذكرت اسم الله فكل ما أصادوا بالكلب التابع فإن اخذه فلا بأس به إلا أن تجده حيا فتذبحه وإما أن يفرسه كلب لم ترسله فذلك حرام
