Hadith 12:342
Al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, that he used to kill snakes. And he would order their killing, and he would say: "The *Jann* are the deformed ones of the Jinn, just as the monkeys were deformed from the Children of Israel."
حدثنا الثقفي عن أيوب عن عكرمة عن بن عباس أنه كان يقتل الحيات ويأمر بقتلها ويقول الجان مسخ الجن كما مسخت القردة من بني إسرائيل
