Hadith 12:348
Ubayd Allah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from Thabit al-Bunani, who said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla said: Abu Layla said: A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and asked him about the snakes in the houses. He said: "If you see them in your dwellings, then say to them: 'We adjure you by the covenant that was taken from you by Sulayman ibn Dawud, that you do not harm us.' If you see anything from them [after that], then kill them."
حدثنا عبيد الله عن بن أبي ليلى عن ثابت البناني قال قال عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى قال أبو ليلى جاء رجل إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فسأله عن الحيات في البيوت فقال إن رأيتموهن في مساكنكم فقولوا لهن ننشدكم بالعهد الذي أخذ عليكم سليمان بن داود أن لا تؤذوننا فإن رأيتم منهن شيئا فاقتلوهن
