Hadith 12:68
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Ata’, who said: If you are in the process of hunting game and it escapes you by its own power, there is no harm in you eating it. But if you waited for it and it died, then do not eat it.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن إدريس عن بن جريج عن عطاء قال إذا كنت في تخليص الصيد فسبقك بنفسه فلا بأس أن تأكله وإن تربصت به فمات فلا تأكله
