Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 26:112

Narrated to us Abd al-Rahim ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Muharibi, from Za'idah, from Abu Hasin, who said: I brought a dispute before Shurayh regarding a freedman of ours who died and left behind his two daughters and his patron (mawla). Shurayh gave his two daughters two-thirds, and he gave his patron one-third.
