Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 26:124

Hafs narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, who said: Abdullah said: If a man dies and leaves behind his father, or his brother, or his son as a slave, and he leaves no other heir, then he (the slave) is to be purchased and emancipated, then he is made an heir.
