Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 26:141

Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Isma'il, from 'Amir, from 'Abdullah, that he used to return [the remainder of the inheritance] to the daughter, the sister, and the mother if there was no residuary heir (asaba). And Zayd used to not give them anything except their [fixed] share.
