Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zinad, [who said]: I heard Kharijah ibn Zayd, Sulayman ibn Yasar, and Talhah ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Awf saying: If the grandmother who is from the mother’s side is closer, then she is more entitled to him.
