Abbad ibn al-Awwam narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Salim, from al-Sha’bi, from Ali and Abdullah, regarding the son of the woman involved in *li’an* (mutual imprecation): His mother is his *‘asabah* (agnatic kin), and her *‘asabah* are his *‘asabah*. The child of adultery is in the same position as him.
