Waki’ narrated to us, from al-Ash’ath, from al-Sha’bi, who said: Hisham ibn Hubayra wrote to Shurayh asking him about the inheritance of a child of adultery. He wrote back to him: "Refer it to the ruler; [for] its difficulty and its ease are minor."
