Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 26:385

Al-Dahhak narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Ata’, that he said: He inherits from him if his mawali (patrons/relatives) acknowledge that he is his son. And if his mawali deny it and dispute it, he does not inherit.
