Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 26:45

'Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from al-Musayyab ibn Rafi', who said: I was sitting with 'Abdullah ibn 'Utbah, and he had ordered me to reconcile [the shares of] the daughter and the sister regarding the inheritance. Ibn al-Zubayr had ordered him not to bequeath anything to the sister along with the daughter. While I was reconciling between them in his presence, al-Aswad ibn Yazid came and said: "I witnessed Mu'adh in Yemen divide the wealth between the daughter and the sister. I came to Ibn al-Zubayr and informed him of that, so he ordered me to come to you and inform you of that so that you may judge by it and write to him about it." He [Ibn 'Utbah] said: "O Aswad, you are truthful to us, so go to him and inform him of that, so that he may judge by it." Abu Bakr said: And this is [divided] into two shares: one share for the daughter and one share for the sister.
