Asbat ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: "If the infant cries out (at birth), the funeral prayer is performed over him and he inherits. If he does not cry out, he does not inherit and the funeral prayer is not performed over him."
