Hushaym narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn Salim, from al-Sha'bi, who said: I heard him saying: The male child of a woman is more entitled to the inheritance of her freedmen (mawali) than her agnatic relatives ('asaba). And if there is a crime (committed by the child), then it is upon her agnatic relatives ('asaba).
