Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 26:516

'Abd al-Samad ibn 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us, from Hammad ibn Salama, from Qatada, from Sa'id and Khallas, that they both said: "If a slave marries a free woman and she bears children, then he is emancipated, he (the father) carries the wala' (the right of patronage/inheritance of the freed slave)."
