Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Malik ibn Mighwal narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Sha’bi about the sons of a paternal uncle (sharing) a father and mother up to three (degrees), and about the sons of a paternal uncle (sharing) a father up to two (degrees). Al-Sha’bi said: The wealth is for the sons of the father (i.e., the paternal half-brothers/relatives).
