Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 26:569

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from 'Asim, from al-Sha'bi, who said: Abu Bakr said: "I have an opinion regarding the *kalalah* (the deceased who leaves no direct descendants or ascendants). If it is correct, then it is from Allah, and if it is wrong, then it is from myself and the Shaytan." The *kalalah* is everything other than the child and the parent.
