Hadith 26:64

Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Bassam, from Fudayl, from Ibrahim, regarding a woman who left behind her maternal siblings, both men and women, and they were [also] her paternal cousins among the agnatic heirs (*al-‘asabah*). He said: They divide the one-third among themselves, with the men and women being equal in it. The remaining two-thirds are for their males exclusively, without the females, according to the judgment of the companions of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Abu Bakr said: This, according to all of their statements, is out of three shares.

حدثنا بن فضيل عن بسام عن فضيل عن إبراهيم في امرأة تركت إخوتها لأمها رجالا ونساء وهم بنو عمها في العصبة قال يقتسمون الثلث بينهم الرجال والنساء فيه سواء والثلثان الباقيان لذكورهم خالصا دون النساء في قضاء أصحاب محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم قال أبو بكر وهذه في قولهم جميعا من ثلاثة أسهم
