Hadith 11:124
Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, [saying] Shu'ban informed us, from Firas, from Atiyyah, from Abu Sa'id, from the Prophet of Allah, who said: "The one who strives (mujahid) in the way of Allah is guaranteed by Allah: either He will record him for His forgiveness and His mercy, or He will return him with reward and spoils of war. And the likeness of the one who strives in the way of Allah is like the likeness of the one who fasts and stands [in prayer], who does not falter until he returns."
حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى أنا شيبان عن فراس عن عطية عن أبي سعيد عن نبي الله قال المجاهد في سبيل الله مضمون على الله إما أن يكتبه إلى مغفرته ورحمته وإما أن يرجعه باجر وغنيمة ومثل المجاهد في سبيل الله كمثل الصائم والقائم لا يفتر حتى يرجع
