Hadith 11:125
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, [saying]: Hariz ibn Uthman informed us, [saying]: Abu Munib al-Jurashi narrated to us that a man stayed with Tamim and traveled with him. He saw him shorten [his prayers] during the journey, contrary to what he used to do while with his family. He said, "May Allah have mercy on you, I see that you have shortened [your prayers] compared to what you used to do while with your family." He replied, "Is it not sufficient for me that I have the reward of one who fasts and one who stands [in prayer]?"
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أنا حريز بن عثمان نا أبو منيب الجرشي أن رجلا نزل على تميم وسافر معه فرآه قصر في السفر عما كان عليه في أهله فقال رحمك الله أراك قد قصرت عما كنت عليه في أهلك فقال أولا يكفيني أن لي أجر صائم وقائم
