Hadith 11:136
Ghundar narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Simak, from Abdullah ibn Shaddad, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to Sa'd ibn Mu'adh while he was struggling with his soul: "May Allah reward you with good on behalf of the leader of your people, for you have been truthful to Allah in what you promised Him, and Allah has been truthful to you in what He promised you."
حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن سماك عن عبد الله بن شداد أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال لسعد بن معاذ وهو يكيد بنفسه جزاك الله خيرا من سيد قوم فقد صدقت الله ما وعدته والله صادقك ما وعدك
