Hadith 11:14
Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from 'Amarah, from Abu Zur'ah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Allah has prepared for whoever goes out in His path—not going out except for Jihad in My path, and belief in Me, and confirmation of My messengers—that I am a guarantor for him that I will cause him to enter Paradise, or return him to his dwelling from which he went out, having attained what he attained of reward or spoils." Then he said: "By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, were it not that it would be difficult for the Muslims, I would never remain behind a detachment fighting in the path of Allah. But I do not find the capacity to carry them, and they do not find the capacity to follow me, and their souls do not feel at ease remaining behind me. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, I would love to fight in the path of Allah and be killed, then fight and be killed, then fight and be killed, then fight and be killed."
حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن عمارة عن أبي زرعة عن أبي هريرة قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أعد الله لمن خرج في سبيله لا يخرج إلا لجهاد في سبيلي وإيمان بي وتصديق برسلي فهو علي ضامن أن أدخله الجنة وأن أرجعه إلى مسكنه الذي خرج منه نائلا ما نال من أجر أو غنيمة ثم قال والذي نفس محمد بيده لولا أن أشق على المسلمين ما قعدت خلاف سرية تغزو في سبيل الله ابدا ولكن لا أجد سعة فأحملهم ولا يجدون سعة فيتبعوني ولا تطيب أنفسهم فيتخلفون بعدي والذي نفس محمد بيده لوددت أن أغزو في سبيل الله فأقتل ثم أغزو فأقتل ثم أغزو فأقتل ثم أغزو فأقتل
